All of our mixes are of the highest quality and greatest variety. We do not offer cheaper, low grade mixes. We sell tons of these mixes to wholesalers and retailers all over the world (although then they are sometimes diluted with cheaper low-grade stones to lower the cost). Souvenier Mix

Souvenier mix A combination of naturally colored and colorful dyed varieties in a ratio of approximately 60% natural to 40% dyed. From years of experience our customers and we have found that this mix far outsells any other - the extra colors attract everyone's eyes and are especially popular with kids.
Natural mix Contains only naturally colored stones. This mix is especially useful for Museum sales when dyed stones may not be appropriate.

Previously called the "Treasure Mix" this is a great mix for bag sales since it allows your customers to select a greater variety of gems. Sold in minimum of 10 lbs. of a size and type of mix with quantity discounts as shown. Sizes may be combined in 100 lb. minimums for higher discounts. Prices are per pound.
TUMBLED GEMSTONE SIZES The following photo shows actual sizes of the stones we offer. We also list the approximate maximum number per pound and the average count per lb (in parentheses) of each size. There will be some variation due to stone shapes and specific gravity, but these figures have proven to be accurate averages over many years of production. (The basic difference within sizes is due to those longer stones which can pass through the sizing screen holes.)

Each mix contains many types of stones. The most common ones are listed below.

RETURNED CHECKS - A $20.00 charge will be added each time a check is returned unpaid.
SHIPPING - We use Royal mail parcel force or United Parcel Service whenever possible and we can ship up to 150 lbs./package, although we usually limit parcels to about 50 lbs. Please give us your street address for delivery and indicate if you are commercial or residential. We will advise you of the actual cost of shipping once we have received your order details.
BACK ORDERS - Due to the lengthy shipping and production times for most materials, we can back order only those stones that are in process. We do not back order items under $10.00. We ask that you please re-order these items with the next order you place with us.
GUARANTEES - We will exchange or refund your cost on any item you consider unsatisfactory, if you return the total lot of that item within 10 days of receipt. Subject to a 10% restocking fee.
VOLUME PURCHASERS - Gems international is now a distributor for Topstones (Pty) Ltd, the world's largest producer of tumbled gemstones. Topstones' factory in South Africa has a tumbling capacity of over 700 tons a year. We are a major source for manufacturing jewelers including the premium and advertising trades. If you need large quantities or special runs, please contact us - we will be pleased to quote prices, delivery schedules, etc.
TUMBLED GEMSTONE ORDERING INFORMATION PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. The vagaries of demand and world supplies make it virtually impossible for us to have all sizes in all materials always in stock. The gemstones on the list, however, are those we feel will be available from our suppliers at least through the coming year. Although we make every effort to keep adequate inventories, a sudden strong demand for a given material or size can leave us without stocks - and replacements can be months away when shipping times reach two months or more and tumbling times over a month.
SIZING - All polished gemstones are sized by screening over automatic sizing screens that have round holes for the most accurate sizing possible. The photo above shows actual sizes in which our stocks are sold including the average number of gemstones per pound and per kilogram in each size.
Please note that these are AVERAGE numbers per lb / kg. Individual gemstone shapes, differing specific gravity and the normal shapes of each material will have a bearing on numbers per lb / kg. The numbers shown, however, have proven to be a reliable guide over a long period of bulk production. We can furnish numbers per lb / kg for any specific material and size.
